What is a Junk Jam? A Junk Jam is a term used to describe a grassroots parking lot skateboarding session with various props. The term describes poorly built funboxes, launch ramps and wedges. The Junk Jam that will be happening at Southside Skateshop Westheimer from 5-7pm will have awesome props. The flatbar best trick will end with the winner taking home the Element Flatbar. We have been contemplating this event for some time now. What better day to put on a Junk Jam than National Go Skateboarding Day June 21, 2018. We will also be providing the jump ramp and hope to see everyone out to session the parking lot. There will be a Southside Skateshop SALE happening all day 1-7pm to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day. Everyone loves a great session with all of their friends and we are hoping this Junk Jam brings everyone out for a good time. We hope you will help us spread the word and attend the session. We have a lot of free Vans product to give away such as tees, hats, wallets, and stickers. For some reason, the security guards have allowed us to skate the parking lot day after day without issue. Hopefully, this will continue as we host this very short event to thank all of our customers for their support on the west side of Houston. Come out and witness some great skateboarding, make a purchase at a discount and hang out with the crew at Southside Skateshop. Skateboarding has always been and will continue to be what you make it.
