Skateboard All Night at Southside Skatepark during our Lock In

Majer Crew Lock In Happening Friday December 16, 2016 10pm-8am

Every year around the Holiday’s we reach out to Majer Crew and invite them to be a part of our Lock In here at Southside Skatepark to set off the Christmas Break right.  We started the tradition last year and once again Majer Eddie and the entire Majer Crew squad will be on hand to skate with us and have a great time.  Of course you know they will be working on another Majer Youtube edit for their totally ridiculous 1/2 a million subscribers.  The filmers for Majer are also pretty cool about capturing some of our locals that just happen to been putting down some solid skateboarding as well.  Which gives everyone in attendance a chance to get in on the edit and be a part of the Majer Crew Lock In Montage 2016.  Here is an example of what that looked like from our first Majer Lock In 2015 at South Side Skate Park, which is just about to hit 100,000 views on Youtube.

We just had our Thanksgiving Lock In and this year it seems as though the Holiday breaks are back to back.  With everyone enjoying the skate board lock ins so much we do not mind turning right around and hosting another one to help you make the most of your Christmas Break.  South Side Skate park started doing skateboarding Lock Ins a couple times a year beginning three years ago.   In that time they have grown in popularity with some skateboarders attending them all.  We try to host them during the cooler Fall, Winter and Spring months during the year.  Fees to attend the Lock In are Skatepark Non-Members $35 while Skatepark Members pay $25.

This helps Southside provide midnight pizza, a donut and milk breakfast and tons of product to win during any of the fun events throughout the evening.

During the Thanksgiving Lock In some of the Geometric Skateboards team were on hand helping run of Best Trick events and awarding people in attendance new boards from Geometric.  They mentioned they would like to be on hand again for the Christmas Break Lock In, which means even more boards and product to win.  Some examples would be long ollie, high ollie, games of skate, best trick contests, best attitude, worst shoes or board just to name a few.  With everyone comfortable, fed and witnessing tons of great skateboarding many of those attending end up learning new tricks and getting better at skateboarding over the course of the night.  It’s not uncommon for us to hear people leaving the next morning talking about how they learned two to three new tricks, which makes it all worth it.
